Emergency Program & Compliance Manager - Venezuela

Your responsibilities:

  • Manage, coordinate and monitor MI’s earthquake response and early-recovery activities in Venezuela.
  • Develop and maintain implementation plans, activity trackers, monitoring tools, reporting systems and project documentation. 
  • Coordinate cooperation with local implementing partners and strengthen their capacities in project management, compliance, reporting and quality assurance. 
  • Ensure effective coordination and information flow between local partners, MI, Order of Malta entities, donors and other relevant stakeholders. 
  • Support emergency assessments and monitoring missions in line with SPHERE and Core Humanitarian Standard requirements. 
  • Contribute to resource mobilisation, donor communication, proposal development and the identification of funding opportunities. 
  • Support MI’s wider emergency preparedness and response work.

Your profile:

  • University degree in international studies, humanitarian assistance or a related field. 
  • At least two years of relevant professional experience, working in international projects. 
  • Experience in managing emergency relief operations and donor-funded projects. 
  • Sound knowledge of institutional donor requirements and international humanitarian standards. 
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish; German is an advantage. 
  • Strong coordination, multitasking and prioritisation skills, with a solution-oriented approach in stressful situations.
  • Willingness and ability to undertake prolonged duty trips to Venezuela, also to remote or insecure areas
