Junior Product Manager (d/f/m) - Advertising

mobile.de Berlin, Germany 29 Tage vor
Marketing, Werbung, PR
Description
What if advertising could feel like a feature rather than an interruption? That's the challenge this role is built around — and if that question excites you, read on.
We are looking for a curious, consumer-obsessed Junior Product Manager to help shape the advertising experience on mobile.de. You will be part of the product organisation with strong ties into our advertising business unit, working to build solutions that genuinely work for consumers while delivering real value for advertisers. We are looking for someone who believes that advertising, done right, can be a meaningful part of the product experience — relevant, well-timed, and worth a user's attention.
This role sits at the intersection of a great consumer experience and a meaningful advertising business. You'll work closely with engineering, design, analytics, and our advertising business stakeholders — navigating that tension is what makes this role exciting.
mobile.de is Germany’s largest vehicle marketplace, with more than 1.6 million listed cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, and e-bikes (annual average 2025). Both private customers and registered vehicle dealers use the platform and benefit from more than 140 million visits per month*. As a “one-stop shop,” mobile.de’s offering includes not only buying and selling, but also financing and leasing solutions. Founded in 1996, the company is a subsidiary of Adevinta, a global leader in online classified portals.
Based in Berlin-Charlottenburg, we offer a dynamic environment where growth, learning, and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do. If you are driven by an eagerness to disrupt, have a passion for collaboration, and are excited about shaping the future of mobility, we would love to hear from you.

Requirements
  • 2–4 years of product management experience, or equivalent experience in a closely related role (e.g. strategy, UX, business, or a technical role with strong product exposure).
  • You have some familiarity with advertising — either from working in a consumer product with ad monetisation, from a role at an ad tech company, a publisher, or an agency. We value the combination, but if we had to choose: a strong product thinker with a genuine curiosity for advertising beats an advertising expert with no product grounding.
  • Consumer-first mindset: you instinctively ask how a change affects the user before asking how it affects the business — and you hold both in mind at the same time.
  • Genuinely excited about advertising as a product problem — not someone who tolerates it as the commercial reality of a free product, but someone who finds it intellectually interesting to make ads relevant, well-placed, and worth a user's attention.
  • Outcome-oriented: you don't see a feature shipped as a success. You care about whether it actually moved the needle.
  • Comfortable with data: you can read a dashboard, ask the right follow-up questions, and form a point of view — even without always having all the answers.
  • A strong communicator who can manage multiple stakeholders with different priorities and speak both the language of product and the language of the advertising sales team.
  • Curious and self-driven — you bring structure to ambiguity, form your own point of view, and are always looking to sharpen your craft, regardless of where you are in your career.
  • Experience in marketplaces, e-commerce, or consumer internet products is a plus.
We value diverse backgrounds — you don't need to tick every box. If you're energised by the challenge of making advertising feel like a feature rather than an interruption, and you want to grow as a product manager in one of Germany's leading digital marketplaces, we'd love to hear from you.
