As European headquarters based in Hamburg, we are respon­sible for plan­ning and managing the regular services from Europe to North America and Asia as well as their marke­ting in Europe. **Your responsibilities** - Support technical assessment and acceptance of cargoes incl. High & Heavy, special and project cargo as well as review of operational handling - Support IMDG-related coordination, including documentation review, DG stowage information and operational communication with vessels and ports. - Participate in cargo quality follow-up, damage prevention, port attendance, vessel feedback and survey-related matters. - Support QCM/VOS team with analysis of operational deviations, near misses, cargo damage cases and root-cause identification incl. standardization of workflows, SOPs, checklists and digital tools. - Assist with claims handling by reviewing damage documentation, survey reports, incident reports and operational evidence. - Prepare and issue voyage instructions, discharging instructions, sailing information and operational updates in internal systems. - Communicate with vessels, ship management companies, local offices, ports, agents and internal departments to maintain scheduled voyages. - Support bunkering coordination, including confirmation of fuel specifications and review of bunker supplier information. - Prepare, review and distribute cargo stowage plans to relevant parties. - Collect and follow up operational cost reports from local offices. - Assist with environmental and technical matters related to vessel operations. - Support operational follow-up in case of disruption, delay, off-hire or other vessel-related incidents. - Prepare summaries, meeting materials, reports incl. incident reports in case of accidents, serious cargo damage or operational irregularities and coordinate required follow-up actions. **Your profile** - Completed vocational training, university degree or comparable qualification related to shipping, logistics, nautical science, marine operations or port operations. - Nautical background, sea-going experience, port captain experience or marine technical experience is an advantage. - Professional experience in RoRo shipping, vessel operations, port logistics, cargo planning, High & Heavy, survey or claims handling is desirable. - Good understanding of vessel operations, port processes, cargo flow, stowage planning and international communication chains. - Knowledge of the IMO CSS Code, IMDG Code and SOLAS is an advantage. - Very good written and spoken English; German language skills are expressly preferred. - Careful working style, strong affinity for numbers, good prioritization skills and a sense of responsibility in critical situations. - Willingness to travel to European ports, terminals, vessels and service providers as well as a Class B driving license. **Digital competencies** - Confident use of Microsoft 365, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint. - Experience working with structured data, operational reports, Excel analyses and management documents. - Openness towards digital collaboration tools such as SharePoint Lists, Planner, Loop or comparable solutions. - Basic understanding and responsible use of modern AI models and AI-supported applications in the daily work context. **We offer:** - Permanent full-time position in an international maritime environment - Cross-departmental role between Vessel Operations and Quality Control & Marine Technical with a diverse range of responsibilities - Close collaboration with international colleagues, ports, vessels, OEMs, surveyors, and ship management teams worldwide - Great intercultural corporate culture with the opportunity to work across global networks - Attractive remuneration package, including additional benefits such as vacation pay and a 13th monthly salary - Additional allowances for the Deutschlandticket, fitness center, Ticket Plus® City, and more - Capital-forming benefits (Vermögenswirksame Leistungen) - Flexible working hours and attractive mobile working options to support a positive work-life balance - Modern office conveniently located near a central HVV hub in Hamburg **Contact:** If you would like to join our team, please send your application in English (application letter, curriculum vitae, references), stating your salary expectations and the earliest possible date of entry, to [jobs@de.kline.com](https://mailto:jobs@de.kline.com?subject=Application%20as%20Team%20Member%20(m%2Ff%2Fd)%20Vessel%20Operations). **"K" Line(Deutschland) GmbH,** **Anckelmannsplatz 1, 20537 Hamburg**
