Supply Chain Officer

Description

Located at the heart of Greek shipping in the port of Piraeus, STOP has led the market in Personal Protective Equipment for over 45 years. We manufacture and distribute high quality safety equipment including workwear, safety footwear, gloves, head protection, fall protection, respiratory protection and gas detectors.

Our mission is to provide safety through high quality equipment, training and support to every worker.

About the role:

At STOP, delivering on that mission means keeping our supply chain moving. We are looking for a Supply Chain Officer to support our inbound operations and make sure our products are available whenever our customers need them.

Every container we bring in from Asia, Europe and beyond passes through you. You will be the person who knows where stock is and when it lands, what condition it reached us in and whether the numbers add up. Sitting between supply chain planning, logistics and production, you will hold end to end data integrity and complete traceability across all inbound flows, and the accuracy of the stock picture that the entire commercial team plans against.

If you are eager to get hands on with inbound operations, and you take real satisfaction in a tracker that is fully up to date and a landed cost file that reconciles, we would like to hear from you.

Requirements

What you will be doing:

  • Register commercial invoices, shipping documents and import expenses in the ERP against purchase orders, keeping full traceability and verifying freight bills against authorised rates.
  • Update delivery dates and pending quantities from the weekly supplier trackers so that stock visibility stays accurate across every channel.
  • Maintain rolling forecasts and stock sheets, reading week over week movement closely enough to catch a trend or an irregularity before it becomes a problem.
  • Announce new arrivals to all commercial channels and circulate backorder reports to Customer Operations, B2B Sales, E-Commerce and Retail.
  • Inspect and document goods on arrival, maintaining visual records and tracking consistency between what was ordered and what actually reached us.
  • Give 3PL partners, regional hubs and warehouse teams the advance inbound data they need, and support internal transfers with the relevant customs and insurance documentation.
  • Coordinate the procurement, courier booking and distribution of printing assets and logos across our branding facilities and hubs, and manage the receipt, registration and archiving of supplier samples.
  • Run the batch testing workflow for our branded items, coordinating laboratory submissions, tracking results and keeping the testing records complete.
  • Track supplier performance on delivery speed, arrival quality and post receipt lab results, record evidence of defective cargo and support the Manager on formal supplier claims.
  • Act as the checkpoint for the non compliance log, from the first flag through system correction to full resolution, in line with ISO principles.

What makes you a great fit:

  • One to two years of experience in a supply chain, purchasing or logistics role.
  • A degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
  • ERP experience, ideally with SoftOne or a similar system.
  • A clear understanding of import and export workflows and shipping documents, with genuine commercial awareness.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills and the confidence to work through facts and figures
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken.
  • Confident MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Shipping or maritime experience is welcome and considered an advantage.

Benefits

What we will offer:

  • A genuine opportunity to grow at one of the leading companies in the Personal Protective Equipment industry.
  • A health insurance plan.
  • A friendly and highly professional working environment.
  • State of the art facilities.
  • Continuous training and real career development.
