Description

We are looking for an experienced Robotics / Autonomous Systems Engineer to join our technical team and work across projects involving intelligent physical systems, connected hardware and autonomous platforms.

The role sits at the intersection of software, electronics, sensors, control systems and real-world hardware.

Projects may include autonomous vehicles and robotics, electric mobility systems, connected devices, sensor-based platforms and other embedded or cyber-physical systems.

What you will work on

Depending on the project, you may be involved in:

  • Autonomous and semi-autonomous system architecture
  • Sensor integration and sensor fusion
  • GNSS, IMU and localization systems
  • Motion, speed and position control
  • Path planning and autonomous behaviours
  • Embedded and onboard software
  • Communication between sensors, controllers and onboard computers
  • Hardware/software integration
  • Telemetry and remote system communication
  • Safety, failsafe and recovery logic
  • Simulation, testing and hardware-in-the-loop validation
  • Integration with third-party controllers, devices and protocols

Requirements

Experience with several of the following would be highly relevant:

  • C++ and/or Python
  • Embedded systems
  • Linux-based systems
  • ROS / ROS 2
  • Control systems and PID
  • Sensor fusion and Kalman filtering
  • GNSS, IMU and other sensor technologies
  • CAN, UART, SPI, I2C and similar protocols
  • Real-time or low-level software
  • Robotics or autonomous vehicle systems
  • ArduPilot, PX4, MAVLink or similar platforms
  • Simulation and testing environments
  • Hardware debugging and electronics integration

Experience with robotics, drones, autonomous vehicles, electric mobility, automotive systems, marine systems or other connected physical products is a strong advantage.

What we are looking for

We are especially interested in someone who:

  • Enjoys working on real hardware, not only software
  • Can move comfortably between algorithms, software and electronics
  • Understands reliability, safety and real-world system constraints
  • Has strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Can take ownership of technical decisions
  • Is comfortable working on early-stage systems where architecture is still being defined
  • Can collaborate closely with embedded, hardware and software engineers

The role can grow toward a Lead Robotics / Autonomous Systems Engineer position, with responsibility for the architecture of multiple intelligent hardware and autonomy projects.
