At Skroutz Last Mile, data plays a central role in how we scale operations, improve customer experience and drive strategic decisions. We are looking for a BI Engineer to join our Strategy & BI team. This role combines data engineering and business analytics, requiring someone who is as comfortable building data pipelines and models as they are translating data into actionable business insights.

We expect you to understand the business processes behind the data and use that understanding to develop solutions that drive meaningful decisions across the organization.

You will design, build and maintain data products, pipelines and reporting solutions that support forecasting, planning, financial reporting and strategic decision-making. You will also contribute to the evolution of our data platform, improve the scalability of our analytics ecosystem and help shape next-generation analytics, automation and AI-powered workflows.

What you will be doing

  • Design, build and maintain reliable data pipelines and workflows
  • Develop and optimize SQL models, datasets and reporting layers
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions
  • Contribute to the development of a scalable data warehouse architecture
  • Maintain and enhance forecasting, planning and finance reporting solutions
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions
  • Analyze operational and business performance data to identify trends, opportunities and risks
  • Design and build AI-powered data products, automation and agentic workflows to improve business processes and decision making.

Requirements
  • 3–6 years of experience in a BI, data engineering or analytics engineering role
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with complex, large-scale datasets
  • Solid Python knowledge for data processing and automation
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines
  • Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
  • Experience applying machine learning techniques (e.g. regression, classification or forecasting) to business problems
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts 
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate business problems into data solutions
  • Clear communicator — comfortable presenting technical work to non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Experience in logistics, supply chain or operations analytics
  • Background in forecasting, planning or financial reporting systems
  • Experience with statistics, predictive analytics or machine learning
  • Familiarity with LLMs, AI agents or workflow automation tools
  • Experience building internal tools or self-service analytics solutions
