What you’ll do
- Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate and cost-effective way
- Improve operational management systems, processes, and practices
- Monitor the coordination between all departments for smooth & efficient operation
- Conduct regular operations team meetings with all the HODs daily/weekly to discuss operational issues, sales targets, and any staff issues
- Ensure SOPs implementation in all departments and check the procedures during routine operational checks
- Manage budgets/expenses, analyze and interpret financial information, and monitor sales and profits
- Meeting with the Directors to discuss business operations and plans for improvement
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to all direct reports as and when required
- Communicate with guests when appropriate (welcome them in the facilities, address their complaints, find solutions to problems, offer information, etc.)
Requirements
- Proven work experience as an Operations Manager/Hotel Manager, ideally in a 5* hotel environment
- Fluency in English
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Demonstrable aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
- Understanding of all hotel management best practices and relevant laws and guidelines
- Deliver hotel budget goals and set other short- and long-term strategic goals for the property
- Exceptional leadership abilities with great attention to detail
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Hospitality/Tourism or related field will be considered as an asset
