MERKUR Excellence, based in Raaba near Graz, was founded in 2018 as part of the MERKUR GROUP and specializes in game design and development, with a particular focus on casino games.

We’re looking for a Senior Game Tester (m/f/d) to take ownership of game testing across multiple platforms and devices. In this role, you’ll ensure quality throughout the development cycle, drive QA processes, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. With your experience, you’ll mentor junior testers, contribute to team development, and support the implementation of automated testing tools.   • As a Senior Game Tester (m/f/d) you take full ownership of hands-on game testing by independently performing test passes across multiple devices and platforms, including documentation, bug reporting, and a variety of test types (exploratory, regression, smoke, etc.)
  • You also take ownership of QA processes, including creating and maintaining test plans, ensuring quality throughout the development cycle, and being responsible for assigned features or titles
  • Moreover, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements, track bug fixes, and actively contribute to sprints, reviews, and milestone meetings
  • In addition, you will mentor junior QA team members by providing them with best practices and expertise to support their growth and the development of the entire team.
  • Last but not least, you support test automation efforts by implementing and using automated testing tools or pipelines
  • 5+ years of QA experience in games, including senior or lead testing roles on multiple shipped titles
  • Experience in the Casino Game Industry
  • Strong understanding of game development lifecycles and Agile/Scrum workflows
  • Excellent bug writing, communication, documentation, and bug-tracking skills (Jira, TestRail, DevTrack)
  • Experience testing across PC, mobile, and EGM platforms; fluent in English, with German as a plus
